Steven Maksin is the founding member of Moonbeam Capital Investments, LLC
(“MCI”) (www.moonbeamproperty.com). MCI had owned, controlled, and
managed – debt-free - its real estate portfolio of over 14 million square feet of
residential, commercial, retail, office, and hotel space across 18+ states nation-
wide. Mr. Maksin’s oversight includes acquisitions of distressed properties and
non-performing loans; property management and redevelopment; expanding
MCI’s alliances with industry and strategic partners; and interfacing with the
financial institutions and investor community.

As the MCI’s chief executive
officer, Mr. Maksin is responsible for leading and aligning MCI’s corporate
strategy to meet the Company’s overall business objective of long-term capital
appreciation through real estate, private equity and commodities investments.

Prior to founding MCI, Mr. Maksin practiced tax law and accounting at Maksin
Legal Group, PLLC and Maksin & Maksin, CPAs, PLLC. From 1994 through
2002, Mr. Maksin worked as a tax and business advisor at
PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Mr. Maksin has also been an active investor in real
estate, commodities, and other investment products.
Expertise and Experience of MR. Maksin
Mr. Maksin was an adjunct professor/lecturer in the business department at the
City University of New York and is a guest lecturer at the Stern School of Business
at New York University. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the New York
University Stern School of Business Center for Real Estate Finance Research. Mr.
Maksin is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, American Bar
Association and American Institute of Certified Public Accountancy. He is
admitted to the Bar in New York and New Jersey, and the Supreme Court of the
United States. He holds a Certified Public Accounting license in New York. As
an avid collector of fine arts and engraved fire arms, Mr. Maksin is also a member
of the Negroli Society at the Department of the Arms and Armor at the
Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Mr. Maksin earned an LL.M. from the New York University Law School, a J.D.
from the Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School, and a Bachelor of Science (cum
laude) from the New York University Stern School of Business.
